Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Goods In Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and retail environment. This position requires a strong focus on customer service, along with the ability to handle various warehouse tasks, including materials handling, shipping and receiving, and inventory management.
Duties
* Scanning goods in
* Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and ensure accurate order fulfilment.
* Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring all items are handled with care.
* Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.
* Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and enhance overall efficiency in the warehouse.
Experience
* Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, particularly in roles involving materials handling and logistics.
* Familiarity with forklift operation is essential; certification is preferred.
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems will be advantageous.
* Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction can be beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
