Goods Receiving Inspector
Location: Cheltenham
Duration: 12 months (possible tempt to perm)
Rate: £16.65/hour PAYE (26 days holiday + bank holidays)
Summary
The Inspector works closely with other members of the Warehouse & Logistics Team to ensure accurate
and efficient material throughput (Dock to Stock) in support of manufacturing production cells. This role
has a strong emphasis on Inspecting product in line with the company's Quality Management System.
Essential Responsibilities
Support Receiving / Warehousing Team in daily Dock to Stock Processing.
Accurately receive, verify, process and receipt goods to the business system
Process inspection results in line with Quality database
Inspect product for: FOD, Corrosion, Burrs, Paint Chips, Scratches & visible contamination as per drawing requirements
Collaborate with Engineering / Supplier Quality / Sourcing
Control material and documents in accordance with business Quality Procedures
Review areas of perceived risk based on experience and non-conformance history
Report and process any non-conforming parts in line with Quality proceduresQualifications / Requirements
Experience of inspecting Supplied Parts through a Quality Inspection tool.
Ideally apprentice-trained in a mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent
Experience in mechanical measuring and verification to drawings
Experience in visual inspection of circuit boards and electronic components
CMM use or alternative automated measuring applications
Working knowledge of material handling requirements eg. ESD, HazMat, MSD
Good attention to detail
A flexible and adaptable to business requirements
Appreciation of health and safety practice in the workplace
PC literate - experienced in using various systems
Confident in liaising with various key stakeholders (internal and external)Before You Apply
