Graduate Acoustics Consultant Location: Bedford Job Type: Full-Time About the Opportunity Penguin Recruitment is currently supporting a leading acoustic consultancy in their search for a Graduate Acoustics Consultant to join their Bedford-based team. Key Responsibilities As a Graduate Acoustics Consultant, you will: Conduct on-site noise measurement surveys and sound insulation testing. Prepare detailed and accurate technical reports. Create 3D noise models to evaluate and optimize acoustic performance. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and developers to deliver tailored acoustic solutions. Work on a variety of projects, ranging from urban developments to industrial and rural settings. Gradually take ownership of projects as you grow into the role with mentoring and guidance. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will bring: A degree in Acoustics or a related discipline (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, or Music Technology). Strong academic background in maths and science. Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable demeanor, enabling effective collaboration with clients and team members. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (applications still welcome from those planning to obtain their licence). A Typical Day in the Role Your daily responsibilities may include: Conducting noise surveys and sound insulation tests at project sites. Analyzing acoustic data and developing 3D noise models using advanced tools. Writing concise and professional reports to present findings and provide recommendations. Participating in client and project team meetings to share insights and acoustic design solutions.
