Assistant Geologist

As our company continues to grow, we are expanding our teams and have an excellent opportunity for a committed Assistant Geologist to join our Infrastructure Division.
We are looking for a reliable, flexible, and motivated individual to join our Geotechnical team. You will have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects across the country. To succeed in this role, you'll need to balance independence with teamwork, demonstrate strong organisational skills, and bring a solid understanding of industry practices.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Preparing Health & Safety documentation before and during site works, assisting with the management of on-site safety, and promoting safe working practices
Supporting the planning, supervision, and scheduling of Ground Investigation projects throughout the UK
Logging soil and rock samples in line with specifications and BS5930
Maintaining accurate field records
Carrying out in-situ testing and sampling in accordance with technical standards and project specifications
To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:
Confidence and competence in ground investigation techniques
The ability to follow company Health & Safety procedures
A level of physical fitness suitable for site-based work
A relevant degree
A full UK driving licence
