Are you a recent graduate passionate about education and inspiring young minds? Astro Education is currently partnering with a highly respected Multi-Academy Trust to promote a Graduate Scheme that provides an exciting and structure pathway into a teaching career. We are seeking motivated graduates with degrees in subjects related to English, Mathematics, or Science to join across the Trust and begin their journey towards a teaching career (Graduates with different degree subjects encouraged to apply).
This unique programme provides graduates with an opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience in a support capacity, while developing the skills, confidence, and knowledge required to progress onto a Teacher Training Programme, SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training)
About the Scheme
The Graduate Scheme is a structured development programme designed to support your transition from graduate to qualified teacher.
You’ll start by working in a supportive classroom role, gaining practical experience in lesson delivery, behaviour management, and student engagement.
Successful graduates will have the opportunity to enrol onto a Teacher Training Programme with the aim of achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
You’ll receive personalised mentorship, a structured CPD plan, professional development opportunities, and access to a network of experienced educators across the Trust.
Throughout the scheme, you’ll be encouraged to develop your teaching practice, contribute to the learning environment, and play a key role in supporting student progress.
We’re Looking For
Essential:
* A degree (2:2 or above and 50% related subject matter) in a subject closely related to English, Mathematics, or Science.
* GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 (C) or above.
* A passion for education and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people’s lives.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A positive attitude, resilience, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Desirable:
* Previous experience working or volunteering in an educational setting.
* An understanding of classroom dynamics and how young people learn.
* Initiative, creativity, and a willingness to take on new challenges.
As a graduate you must demonstrate the qualities below:

High standards of personal conduct, including:
* treating pupils with dignity and respect, maintaining appropriate boundaries
* safeguarding pupils’ well-being at all times
* showing tolerance, respect, and upholding British values
* ensuring personal beliefs do not influence or exploit pupils
* Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to the role, setting a strong example for pupils and demonstrating dependability to colleagues.
* Professional regard for the ethos, policies and practices of each school you work in, recognising that every school community has its own vision, values and approaches.
* A genuine desire to pursue a career in education, whether as a teacher, mentor, or specialist practitioner.

Eligibility
To qualify for this Graduate Scheme, applicants must:
* Have the right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the programme.
* Is a UK resident
* Not currently be enrolled in another government-funded training course.
* Willing to apply for an enhanced DBS Check and complete Astro Educations On-boarding/ Registration in-line with DofE Requirements.
