Graduate Behaviour Mentor  Are you a recent Psychology graduate or a graduate in a related field looking to gain hands-on experience working in a secondary school environment? Do you have a passion for supporting students with challenging behaviour, ADHD, SEMH, or SEN needs? Are you patient, resilient and eager to build a career in education or mental health? If yes – this Graduate Behaviour Mentor role is the perfect opportunity to start your journey in education. Graduate Behaviour Mentor – Role Overview: Work 1:1 and in small groups with students who require behavioural and emotional support Support pupils with ADHD, SEMH, and ASC needs Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing Deliver targeted interventions and behaviour strategies Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and inclusion teams Encourage academic and social development Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents Ideal Candidate – Graduate Behaviour Mentor: Recent Psychology or Education graduate (or related discipline) Experience working with young people (e.g. mentoring, youth work, school support, volunteering) Understanding of safeguarding, special educational needs, and behaviour management Calm, empathetic, and proactive under pressure Excellent communication and teamwork skills A desire to work in education, educational psychology, counselling, or youth work Why Work as a Graduate Behaviour Mentor with Smile Education Northwest?
