Are you a recent psychology graduate or someone with experience working with children or young people? Are you passionate about supporting students with behavioural needs and looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting? An excellent SEN secondary school in Stockport is looking for a Graduate Behaviour Mentor to support students with behavioural and additional needs, including ADHD, ASC, and SEMH. This is a fantastic stepping stone for a future career in education, mental health, therapy, or clinical psychology. Graduate Behaviour Mentor – Role Overview: Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 on a 1:1 and small group basis Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies Assist students with additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, and SEMH Provide academic, emotional and social development support Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external agencies Adapt to different classrooms, year groups, and learning styles as needed Who We're Looking For: Degree in Psychology, Criminology, Education, or a related field (desirable) Experience working with children or young people, especially in a SEN, PRU or youth work setting Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills A calm, proactive, and professional approach to behaviour management A passion for inclusive education and mental health support Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential) Why Choose Smile Education North West?
