Job Description

Role Purpose As a Graduate Building Surveyor, you will support the surveying team across a wide range of property-related projects, including inspections, design, refurbishment, compliance, and professional advisory work. You will gain hands-on experience while working towards chartership (MRICS), developing both technical and client-facing skills. Key Responsibilities * Assist with carrying out building surveys, inspections, and defect analysis. * Support preparation of condition surveys, schedules of dilapidations, and schedules of condition. * Contribute to design and specification work for refurbishment, repair, and maintenance projects. * Assist in preparing and managing tender documentation, including contract administration. * Undertake measured surveys and produce CAD drawings where required. * Provide support in preparing feasibility studies and budget estimates. * Carry out health & safety assessments and ensure compliance with CDM Regulations. * Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. * Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to report writing. * Work towards RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). Requirements Qualifications & Education: * RICS-accredited degree in Building Surveying (or working towards completion). * Interest in pursuing MRICS qualification. Skills & Competencies: * Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD/Revit desirable. * Strong organisational and time management abilities. * Team player with ability to work independently when required. * Problem-solving approach and willingness to learn. Experience: * Relevant work placement, internship, or year-in-industry experience desirable but not essential. * Knowledge of UK building regulations and construction processes advantageous.
