Job Description
A privately owned, design-led house builder in Derbyshire with a reputation for quality, character and attention to detail is looking for a Graduate CAD Technician that shares their values and has the passion to shape places that people are proud to call home.
Along with a salary of up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience), you will receive a clear development pathway, support from an experienced Technical Manager, a calm, professional working environment and the opportunity to make a real impact on the homes they deliver!
As Graduate CAD Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
Producing accurate CAD drawings and technical schematics for planning and construction stages using AutoCAD.
Working alongside engineers and architects to ensure design solutions are functional, compliant, and buildable.
Assisting in the preparation of technical documents, specifications, and site layouts.
Cross-checking and coordinating external consultant drawings to flag conflicts or inefficiencies.
Amending and improving existing plans based on project development or technical review.
Maintaining well-organised records of all drawings and revisions.
Taking part in team and consultant design meetings to discuss progress and resolve issues.
What we’re looking for in a Graduate CAD Technician:
A recent graduate in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related construction design discipline. Alternatively, CAD Technician experience, ideally in residential or housebuilding environments.
Strong command of AutoCAD.
A sharp eye for detail and a practical approach to problem-solving.
Someone organised, reliable and keen to learn and grow your technical career.
