Are you a graduate or early-career professional looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference? Join one of the UK’s largest charities, a place where people we’ve placed have gone on to thrive and grow their careers, and help change lives by supporting people back into work.
We’re currently recruiting 9 people to join this brand-new, long-term funded programme, with roles available in either Brent or Hillingdon.
The role:
You’ll be trained to become an IPS Employment Specialist, working in the community to help people with mental health conditions or physical disabilities find and sustain employment.
You’ll manage a small caseload of around 25 participants, providing 1:1 support that includes job searching, CV building, interview prep, and in-work coaching. You’ll also spend time engaging local employers to create new job opportunities.
This isn’t an office-based role, you’ll hot-desk across partner sites such as Job Centres, Council Offices, and local NHS Trusts. At these sites, you’ll meet participants for 1:1 appointments, as well as work closely with Jobcentre Plus staff and health professionals to collaborate on employment plans and wraparound support.
Travel between sites is fully paid (excluding your normal commute from home to your first and last location). Full training is provided, combining online learning, shadowing experienced colleagues, and hands-on guidance from your Team Leader in the community.
Typical locations include:
Brent: Brent Job Centre (Neasden), Brent Council (Wembley), Central Middlesex Hospital / Northwick Park Hospital
Hillingdon: Uxbridge Job Centre, Hillingdon Civic Centre, Hillingdon Hospital
