This business organises a range of in-person and online events throughout the year, for professionals working in the NHS. Behind this, are the conference producers who are at the heart of any event.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...
You will be researching, creating, and managing conferences.
You’ll be on the phone a lot; mainly calling senior professionals in the Health industry; finding out about their jobs, what they do, identifying hot topics, and inviting some of them to speak at your event.
While there is a database of people who have attended previous events, you’ll also be doing research to find new people.
You’ll use your writing skills to craft engaging copy for the event programme, and for marketing.
In time, you will be managing your own portfolio of projects and will be responsible for the overall success of the event you produce. Imagine how great it will feel when it all goes well.
WHAT DO YOU NEED...
The preferred degree type would be Humanities related; for example History, English, Politics, or Science based.
You don’t need any experience with conferences; nor is any knowledge of the Health industry needed: full training is provided, and you'll be learning from experienced people.
You will need to be happy speaking with people on the phone. It can be tough at times, so you'll need some resilience to keep going. And written communication skills are also important.
Research skills are needed too; nothing major, but you do need to be able to find people, and work out how to contact them (again some training will be given).
WHAT YOU’LL GET…
A basic starting salary of £24,000.
After 6 months in the role, you'll start to earn a bonus a bonus based on how successful your events are- meaning that you’ll be able to influence how much you earn
It’s a happy team, and there are regular social activities: for example lunches out, spa days, dinners, nights out, beach trips etc.
WHERE YOU'LL BE DOING IT...
You’ll be part of a small, dynamic team full of support for one another. Based in a beautiful open plan office, which is serviced with a well-equipped kitchen There is Free on site parking.
The location is a small town near to Maidstone, Kent. Commutable from areas including Rainham, Chatham, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, and Orpington.
In time, there could be some scope to work from home, if you would like to.
Monday to Friday 9-5, with some additional work when at an event, and you may need to stay away for a day or two at times.
