Are you a recent graduate seeking some school-based experience in secondary schools? Are you considering a career in education and teaching?
Our partnering secondary schools in Kirklees are seeking confident individuals who are passionate about education, to work as Graduate Cover Supervisors. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a flexible schedule, part or full time.
Requirements:
Successful candidates will be adaptable, flexible, motivated, confident, organised and will have a passion for education and supporting young people. Previous experience working with secondary age children is desirable but not essential.
The role:
This role provides a great opportunity to gain experience of working within a secondary school prior to applying for Initial Teacher Training. Lessons will be planned and your role as a Graduate Cover Supervisor is to facilitate the class’ learning, manage classroom behaviour, record accurate registers and provide handover notes for the absent teacher.
If you are new to the Graduate Cover Supervisor role you will be offered a comprehensive Cover Supervisor Training Programme to equip you with the skills you need.
