Graduate/Trainee Quantity Surveyor Location: Colchester, Essex Salary: £22,000 - £27,000
gap construction is proud to be representing a family-owned main contractor in their search for a Graduate/Trainee Quantity Surveyor to work at their head office in Essex. The contractor has a diverse and interesting portfolio of project types, including Residential, Commercial, Healthcare, Education, and Leisure.
Since its formation in 1993, the company has developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction and development projects across Essex, London, the home counties, and East Anglia.
Performance Objectives
Training will be provided, with the opportunity to become a key member of a successful, collaborative team.
Prepare, negotiate, and agree on final accounts.
Procure sub-contract and material packages.
Prepare cost budgets and prices for contract variations.
Prepare monthly reports for management.
Control and monitor expenditure against budget.
Person Specification
The successful candidate needs to be personable, dedicated, and ambitious, with a positive and can-do attitude.
Full driving licence.
Ability to form strong working relationships.
Good IT and communication skills.
Able to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
