Are you a recent Science graduate looking to take your first step into education?
Tradewind Recruitment is working with several welcoming secondary schools in Northampton offering exciting full-time opportunities for Science graduates to gain hands-on classroom experience starting October 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring teachers to support students in Science, gain invaluable school-based experience, and prepare for future teacher training routes such as a PGCE, SCITT, or School Direct programme.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting the Science department in delivering lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Leading small group or 1:1 intervention sessions to reinforce key scientific concepts
Assisting with classroom activities, practical experiments, and lesson planning
Helping to mark work and provide feedback under teacher guidance
Getting involved in wider school life, including STEM clubs, revision sessions, or science-themed enrichment
Who We're Looking For:
A recent Science graduate (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related subject) with a 2:2 degree or above
A clear communicator with a positive, supportive, and professional attitude
Someone with a genuine passion for education and a desire to make a difference
An aspiring teacher keen to gain school-based experience before applying for formal teacher training
Reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to learn within a school environment
