Graduate Site Manager – Main Contractor – Surrey
About the Client: Our client is an established main contractor with offices in Greater & Central London and are involved primarily in new build & refurbishments projects in multiple sectors including residential, commercial, retail, industrial and educational projects.
About the Role: My client is looking for a Graduate Site Manager who will work under the Senior you will playing a key role in supporting the delivery of construction projects from inception to completion. Working closely with the project team, assisting in coordinating site operations, managing subcontractors, monitoring progress, and ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
About the responsibilities
* Assist the Site Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily site activities.
* Ensure work is carried out in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and health and safety regulations.
* Support the management of subcontractors and suppliers to maintain efficient site operations.
* Monitor construction progress, quality standards, and timelines, reporting any issues to senior site management.
* Assist with site documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and daily site reports.
* Participate in site meetings and liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and team members.
* Help implement and promote company policies on health, safety, and environmental management.
* Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives on site.
* Learn and apply site management best practices to develop towards a Site Manager position
About the Requirements:
* Hold a degree, HNC or HND in Engineering / Construction management
* Hold a full clean UK driving license.
* Strong attention to detail, coupled with thorough planning and organisational skills.
* Strong good communication skills
* Desire to work well as part of a team
* Passionate about starting a career in the civils/construction industryBefore You Apply
