Psychology Graduate – Secondary Schools (Sunderland, Durham, Gateshead & South Tyneside) Are you a recent psychology graduate eager to begin your career in education? We are looking for motivated and empathetic graduates to join our Graduate Programme, with a clear pathway to train as a Cover Supervisor in secondary schools across Sunderland, Durham, Gateshead, and South Tyneside. About the Role As a Psychology Graduate, you’ll start by supporting pupils as a Learning Support Assistant, working closely with individuals and small groups to remove barriers to learning and boost student wellbeing. You’ll then progress with training into a Cover Supervisor role—delivering lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and supporting learners when teachers are unavailable. This role is ideal if you: Aspire to a career in teaching, educational psychology, or pastoral support. Want hands-on experience in understanding behaviour, motivation, and learning strategies. Step into a Cover Supervisor role once trained, delivering pre-set lessons. Adapt resources and approaches to meet individual learner needs, including SEN and SEMH.
