Graduate Teacher East Kent

Academics in Canterbury are working closely with primary schools in East Kent who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious Graduate Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who is eager to gain their first teaching experience and begin their journey toward Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Key Responsibilities for a Graduate Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 under the guidance of experienced teachers
Support the academic and personal development of all pupils, adapting teaching to meet a range of needs
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence
Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver creative learning experiences
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and contributing to ongoing planning
Support the wider school community through participation in school events, clubs, and activitiesWhat We're Looking For in a Graduate Teacher:
A recent graduate with a Degree/Masters, ideally in Education or a related subject
A strong interest in pursuing a career in teaching and developing classroom practice
Previous experience working with children (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, youth work) is desirable
A proactive, reflective, and resilient approach to learning and teaching
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
