GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Graduate Teaching Assistant (GRAD TA) to join primary and secondary schools across Eastbourne. This is a perfect opportunity for those considering a future in teaching or educational psychology and want to gain hands-on classroom experience.
About the Role:
As a Graduate TA, you’ll work closely with teaching staff to support students both academically and emotionally. From delivering 1:1 support to assisting with group activities, you'll play a key role in building pupil confidence and helping them stay engaged in their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils, including those with SEN or EAL needs
Assist in preparing and setting up classroom resources
Support students during lessons and promote positive behaviour
Help deliver interventions and targeted academic activities
Collaborate with teachers to monitor pupil progress and development
Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
Job Requirements:
A degree (any subject) – education or psychology-related fields are a bonus
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
A genuine interest in working in schools and supporting learning
Good communication skills, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
