We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to work in a range of secondary schools across Newham, starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to build valuable experience and make a real difference in the lives of young people.
📍 Role Details:
Location: Secondary schools across Newham
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only
Duration: Full academic year (with potential to extend)
Pay: Competitive weekly rate (depending on experience and qualifications)
🔍 Role Responsibilities:
Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons across various subjects
Providing one-to-one and small group support for students who need extra help
Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
Preparing learning materials and resources
Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN), where required
Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
🎯 Ideal Candidate:
A recent graduate (any discipline) with a strong academic background
A genuine interest in education and working with young people
Confident, enthusiastic, and eager to learn
Previous experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, youth work) is a bonus
Looking to train as a teacher in the future (e.g. PGCE, Teach First, Schools Direct)Before You Apply
