Pay: Starting from £13.75 per hour
Are you a recent university graduate with a passion for education and experience supporting young people?
We are recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistants to work across Secondary Schools in South Manchester in subject areas including Maths, English, and Science.
These full-time roles are ideal for graduates looking to gain hands-on classroom experience and make a real impact on students' learning and development. The positions will begin in September 2025 and run for the full academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
Support teaching and learning in core subjects (Maths, English, Science) across KS3 and KS4
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students of varying abilities
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and focused classroom environment
Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to deliver effective support
Assist students with additional learning needs as required
Requirements:
A recent university degree (any subject considered; subject-specific roles will match your area of expertise)
A minimum of 6 months’ experience supporting young people in an educational setting – this can be paid or voluntary (e.g., schools, tutoring, mentoring, youth programmes, etc.)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A genuine interest in working with young people and helping them succeed
Reliability, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting teaching staff
