Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education and a desire to gain hands-on experience in a supportive primary school environment?
Reeson Education is working closely with a warm and inclusive primary school in Balham (SW12) who are looking to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 1 team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to support children across Year 1 and Year 2, providing interventions, small group work, and 1:1 support.
The Role:
Working closely with class teachers to support KS1 pupils with their learning
Leading literacy and numeracy interventions with small groups of children
Providing 1:1 support for pupils who may need additional help
Assisting with classroom organisation, behaviour support, and daily routines
Helping create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Ideal experience for those considering a PGCE, Schools Direct, or teacher training
About You:
A recent graduate (ideally in Education, Psychology, English, Maths or related field)
Passionate about working with children and supporting their progress
Confident, reliable and enthusiastic with a proactive mindset
Some experience working with children (in schools, tutoring, volunteering, etc.) is desirable
A team player who is eager to learn and grow within a school setting
Must have an enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one
