As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will gain hands-on experience in the classroom, supporting teaching and learning, and working closely with pupils to help them achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and provide targeted support.
Assist in planning and preparing learning resources.
Help to manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning attitudes.
Support children's social and emotional development.
Supervise pupils during non-teaching times (e.g., playtimes, lunchtimes, educational visits).
Contribute to creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
Follow safeguarding and school policies to ensure the welfare of all pupils.
Person Specification
Essential:
A recent graduate (any subject considered).
Strong interest in pursuing a career in education or teaching.
Enthusiasm, energy and a passion for working with children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to learn, take direction, and undertake training
