Responsibilities As a Transport Planner, you will: Gather, analyse, and interpret traffic data from various external sources. Assess development sites for accessibility across multiple transport modes. Contribute to the preparation of Technical Notes, Transport Statements/Assessments, Environmental Statement chapters, and Travel Plans. Create technical figures and use GIS tools to support reports and assessments. Conduct junction capacity assessments. Participate in site visits and contribute to masterplan and junction design. Assist in the design of highway improvement schemes. Work collaboratively with an experienced team, receiving tailored support to meet your development needs. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A degree in a relevant field, such as Geography, Transport Planning, Town Planning, or Civil Engineering. At least one year of experience in development-focused transport planning. Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude. Excellent presentation and technical writing abilities. The ability to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and budgets. A genuine interest and enthusiasm for transport planning. Day-to-Day Your day-to-day activities will involve: Collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality transport planning solutions. Engaging in data analysis and technical report preparation. Conducting site visits and contributing to the design of transport and highway schemes. Using GIS tools and other software to support project delivery.
