Green Spaces Process Review Lead Location: High Street, Esher, KT10 9SD Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 3+ Months Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week Pay Rate: £ 52.08 per hour  Job Ref: OR9393 Responsibilities Review and improve processes and procedures across the Green Spaces team to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operations. Develop a high-functioning and efficient team through improved support, effective training, and management practices. Map and review all operational processes and procedures to align with corporate procedures, relevant legislation, and industry best practices. Develop and implement new processes in collaboration with the team and ICT to better utilize existing digital tools, ensuring effective data oversight where possible. Identify necessary training requirements to meet operational process needs. Collaborate with the Health and Safety Advisor to ensure safe operations for employees and assess ongoing training needs to comply with health and safety legislation, embedding a proactive risk-aware culture. Ensure processes enable the team to measure improvements over time, collect relevant data, and introduce systems for effective ongoing oversight. Perform any other duties related to Green Spaces processes as determined by the Strategic Director of Place and Community and the Head of Culture, Leisure and Environment. Person Specification Essential Criteria Degree or equivalent demonstrable experience. Management qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience. IOSH qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience. Operational leadership and management experience in a fast-moving environment. Experience in successful change management, improving processes in a public-facing service or similar. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and evaluation skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and at all levels. Able to manage, motivate, and empower staff, including performance management. Strong IT skills and ability to disseminate information quickly, efficiently, and accurately. Able to make decisions and work on own initiative. Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver results to tight deadlines. An in-depth understanding of Health & Safety. Flexible and adaptable work style. Diplomatic, tactful, and capable of being assertive. Current driving licence and ability to travel between different locations within the borough. Desirable Criteria Project management qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience. Experience in a local government or public sector environment. Creative, innovative, and capable of thinking strategically.
