Job Description

First People Solutions are looking for a full-time Ground Operations Officer to join our Aberdeen team on a fixed-term basis.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out all ground operations safely for both helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft
Tow aircraft and ground equipment as required
Provide safety cover during aircraft start-up and shutdown
Refuel helicopters and support post-flight tasks, including cleaning
Prepare, load, and unload baggage and freight in line with aircraft limits
Identify and report any non-compliant or unsafe items
Perform daily checks on vehicles, equipment, and ramp conditions
Support winter safety measures, including de-icing walkways and maintaining grit supplies
Promote a strong safety culture by identifying and reporting hazards

Requirements

Qualifications (desirable but not essential):

Forklift licence
HGV Class 2 licence
Dangerous Goods AwarenessEssential:

Full driving licenceExperience & Skills:

Previous ground operations experience is beneficial (training provided)
Good communication and teamwork skills
Flexible and able to work shifts, including weekends
Able to work independently and follow procedures
Comfortable with physical tasks, including some heavy lifting
