Grounds Maintenance Operative - Temp to Perm
📍 Location: Chingford, London
📅 Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
💰 Rate: £17.00 per hour (Umbrella)
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
About the Role:
A well-established Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) in Chingford is seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and contributing to the upkeep of community spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out routine grounds maintenance including grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding, and litter picking
Maintain communal gardens, pathways, and green spaces to a high standard
Operate and maintain gardening tools and machinery safely
Report any hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor
Work independently or as part of a small team to complete scheduled tasks
Comply with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
Previous experience in grounds maintenance or similar outdoor work
Good knowledge of horticultural practices and equipment
Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
Full UK driving licence is essential
Basic DBS check required
Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
Additional Info:
Work vans are provided and must be left on site
Operatives will be sharing vans with team members
