Job Title: Groundworker - Solar Farm Project
Location: Darlington, County Durham
Duration: Minimum 4-5 Weeks (with potential for Phase 2 extending until May/June 2026)
Working Hours: 9-10 Hour Days
Start Date: Immediate
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Groundworker to join our team on an exciting Solar Farm project in Darlington. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work and has experience in civil construction or groundworks. The role involves digging trenches, laying cables, and general ground preparation for the installation of solar farm infrastructure.
There is the potential for extension into Phase 2 of the project, which runs until May/June next year.
Key Responsibilities:
Digging trenches and preparing ground for solar farm infrastructure.
Pulling cables and assisting with the installation of underground services.
General groundworks and civil tasks on the solar farm.
Ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with project specifications.
Adhering to health and safety protocols on-site.
Requirements:
CSCS Card (minimum requirement).
Proven experience in civils/groundworks.
Previous experience working on a solar farm is a bonus.
Must be physically fit and able to carry out manual labour.
Ability to drive to and from the site (own transport required).
Any additional tickets (e.g., CPCS, NRSWA, etc.) are a bonus.
