Are you a highly skilled and versatile groundworker looking for a stable, ongoing contract? We're actively seeking a dedicated professional to join our team on a large, high-profile commercial project in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure consistent work and contribute to a significant development in the city! About the Role: As an experienced Groundworker on this major commercial construction site, you'll be involved in all aspects of civil groundworks from the initial stages through to completion. Your comprehensive skillset will be crucial for the project's success. Key responsibilities will include: Drainage Systems: Installing, repairing, and connecting foul and storm drainage, including deep drainage, pipe laying, and manhole construction. Foundations & Oversites: Preparing ground for foundations, laying concrete slabs, and carrying out oversight works. Kerbing & Paving: Laying kerbs, edgings, block paving, and slabbing to a high standard. Excavation & Backfilling: Safely performing excavations, trenching, and backfilling duties. Ducting & Services: Installing service ducts for utilities. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications accurately. Working efficiently and safely, both independently and as part of a larger groundworks team. Adhering strictly to all site health and safety regulations and quality standards. Requirements: Proven experience as a groundworker with a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of civil groundworks. A strong background on large-scale commercial or civil engineering projects. Blue skilled CSCS card is essential. Relevant plant tickets (e.g., Dumper, Roller, Excavator up to 5T) would be highly beneficial - please specify what tickets you hold. DBS (this can be arranged prior to starting) Excellent practical skills and a meticulous attention to detail. A proactive approach to problem-solving and site productivity. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are paramount. Strong communication skills to work effectively within a large team. Ready to Apply?
