Job Description
♂️ Groundworkers Wanted – Central Scotland
📍 Location: Central Scotland
📆 Project Duration: 3/6 Months
💷 Rate: Competitive – DOE
🕒 Start Date: ASAP
We are currently recruiting experienced Groundworkers for a 3/6-month project based in Central Scotland. This project involves civil works supporting EV infrastructure installation, and we’re looking for candidates who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities Include:
🔹 Excavation & Trenching
*
Excavate trenches for ducting and cable installations
*
Prepare bedding layers and concrete foundations
*
Backfill safely and dispose of materials appropriately
🔹 Ductwork Installation
*
Install underground electrical conduits/ducts
*
Ensure proper joining, support, and alignment
*
Install bends, junctions, and inspection chambers
🔹 Feeder Pillar & Charger Base Installation
*
Prepare and install concrete bases and slabs for EV chargers
*
Ensure correct curing and alignment to spec
🔹 Cable & Conduit Management
*
Pull cables through pre-installed ducting
*
Secure cables within conduit systems
🔹 Reinstatement & Surface Restoration
*
Restore soft and hard landscaping (e.g. soil, turf)
*
Reinstate monoblock, tarmac, and concrete to a high standard
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Previous groundworks experience on utilities or infrastructure projects
✅ Valid CSCS card
✅ Ability to read and follow plans/drawings
✅ Good understanding of site health & safety
✅ Driving licence preferred but not essential
