Job Description
Job Title: Groundworker
Location: Nationwide (initial base: IP31 3HJ) – Travel & Staying Away Required
Pay: £16.50 - £18ph
Hours: Monday to Friday, Site Hours 07:00 – 17:00 (Contracted 39 hours/week)
About the Role:
We are currently looking for 4 experienced Groundworkers to join a long-term landscaping and civil engineering project team. With works spanning across the UK, this role involves travel and staying away from home during the week. All accommodation and travel arrangements will be managed.
This is an excellent opportunity for tradesmen seeking stable, long-term work on high-quality landscaping and water management contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out landscaping works on construction sites including shaping, grading, and turfing
* Install drainage systems, piping, and water infrastructure (ponds, lakes, reservoirs, etc.)
* Perform concreting, pipe laying, shuttering, and woodwork
* Operate dumpers and assist with machine-led groundworks (if ticketed)
* Support a variety of water-based and heavy civils groundworks projects
* Work as part of a professional crew with a focus on safety, detail, and timely delivery
Requirements:
* CSCS Card (minimum)
* Dumper ticket (desirable)
* 360 Excavator ticket (desirable)
* Experience in landscaping, concreting, pipe laying, and general groundwork
* Willingness to travel and stay away during the week
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work well within a team
