Quick Staff UK is recruiting for a Group SHEQ Adviser to join a well-established specialist engineering and infrastructure business, based from its Winsford, Cheshire operation. The company provides specialist services to major blue-chip organisations across the UK, particularly within the electrical utilities sector. Its operations include civil engineering and groundworks, dismantling and demolition, specialist electrical fencing, transformer installation and maintenance, as well as its own transport fleet and specialist plant.
Working alongside the Group SHEQ Manager, you'll help implement and maintain the company's Health & Safety policies while promoting a positive SHEQ culture across the wider business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a NEBOSH-qualified Health & Safety professional looking to develop their career within a varied, hands-on role that combines site visits, audits, investigations, training and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality inspections at company premises and client sites throughout the UK
* Investigate and record accidents, incidents and near misses
* Identify potential hazards and recommend practical measures to reduce risk
* Support the implementation and ongoing development of company Health & Safety policies and procedures
* Prepare SHE bulletins and toolbox talks
* Deliver employee inductions and other Health & Safety training
* Attend internal and client Health & Safety meetings
* Support audits and investigations across the Group
* Monitor compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
* Maintain accurate SHEQ records and documentation
* Support the continued development of a positive Health & Safety culture throughout the business
Key Requirements
* NEBOSH qualification – Construction preferred, although the General Certificate will be considered
* Working knowledge of ISO 45001
* Broad understanding of environmental legislation
* Good analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills
* Confident working independently as well as part of a wider team
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Flexible and willing to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays
Salary & Benefits
* £42,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
