Purpose of the Role
The Growth Marketing Officer will lead and execute marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and service growth for the organisation. This role requires a creative, analytical, and hands-on marketing professional with proven ability to design, implement, and optimise campaigns across multiple platforms, including websites, social media, email marketing, and offline channels.
The post-holder will play a key role in supporting organisational expansion, improving digital presence, and developing consistent branding while reporting directly to the Director.
Marketing Officer's main duties and responsibilities:
Creating and executing digital marketing strategies aligned with overall company goals.
Planning, managing and optimising digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including email campaigns, to increase sales lead generation.
Line management of two Marketing Administrators responsible for Events, Promotional materials and Marketing Data Analysis.
Working with an external company to optimise the website and drive website traffic.
Managing the annual marketing budget and resource requirements.
Develop and implement a growth marketing strategy to meet organisational objectives and KPIs.
Manage and update the company website, ensuring accurate, engaging, and SEO-optimised content.
Lead social media content planning, scheduling, and posting to grow engagement and followers.
Design marketing assets (digital and print) using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar.
Monitor and analyse marketing campaign performance using analytics dashboards.
Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling campaigns that promote services and initiatives.
Content Production
Working with internal stakeholders, agree a calendar of subjects across our brands for content collateral production
Produce a variety of collateral types; white papers, thought leadership, blogs, customer stories, social bites etc
Become a reliable source consistent delivery of collateral, reducing the inconsistencies of individual team members producing own content
Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, style, tone and voice at all times
Utilise efficiency tools and in-house subject expertise to enhance productivity
Ensure content assets are approved, formatted, and delivered on time
Monitor performance metrics & report on results
Marketing Officer's additional duties
Plan and execute email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation and A/B testing.
Maintain brand guidelines and ensure all content is consistent in tone, style, and messaging.
Research and identify growth opportunities through partnerships, community engagement, and sponsorships.
Produce blog posts, newsletters, press releases, and case studies to promote success stories.
Manage PPC campaigns via Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
Implement on-page and off-page SEO best practices to improve search rankings.
Support recruitment campaigns by creating job adverts, digital banners, and targeted campaigns.
Oversee photography and video content creation for campaigns and social media.
Liaise with external agencies, printers, and suppliers for marketing materials.
Create content calendars to manage the flow of marketing activities.
Provide monthly marketing performance reports to the Director.
Conduct competitor analysis to inform marketing decisions.
Manage and optimise Google My Business and other local listings.
Coordinate attendance at community events, exhibitions, and job fairs.
Develop targeted campaigns for specific audiences (e.g., commissioners, potential clients, staff).
Train and support staff on using social media effectively to enhance the organisation’s presence.
Ensure compliance with GDPR in all marketing and data collection activities.
Test and implement new tools and platforms for improved marketing performance.
Create internal communications content to engage and inform staff.
Support fundraising campaigns and community-based initiatives.
Maintain and update mailing lists and CRM records.
Collaborate with the Director on budgeting and resource allocation for marketing projects.
Create promotional packs and presentations for stakeholders and prospective clients.
Ensure timely delivery of campaigns and adapt plans based on real-time feedback.
Marketing Officer's essential requirements
Proven experience (3+ years) in marketing, digital marketing, or growth marketing roles.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok) and content management systems (CMS).
Demonstrable ability to design, build, and maintain websites using platforms such as WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace.
Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent graphic design tools.
Experience using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics) to track performance and ROI.
Strong copywriting and content creation skills for different target audiences.
Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
