Job Description
Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a Paper Guillotine Operator to join our company in Glossop. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining guillotine cutting equipment to accurately cut paper and printed materials to specified sizes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and precision of finished print products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate guillotine (paper cutting) machines safely and efficiently.
* Set up machines according to job specifications, including measurements, cutting sequences, and safety settings.
* Inspect printed materials for accuracy before and after cutting.
* Ensure precise cuts in line with production and client requirements.
* Monitor and maintain equipment, performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
* Collaborate with print and finishing team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.
* Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience operating paper guillotines or similar cutting machinery
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of production machinery.
* Ability to read and interpret job specifications, measurements, and work orders.
* Good organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Physical stamina – ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
