We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Assurance Manager to be based in Essex, working a huge infrastructure project that will see a 2nd rail terminal being built so extensive investment and construction.
Role: Health & Safety Assurance Manager - Major Infrastructure Project
Location: Corringham, Essex

Type: Full-time, Permanent (2-year FTC)
A leading global infrastructure organisation is seeking a H&S Assurance Manager to oversee HSE compliance on a major construction project in Essex. This is a pivotal role ensuring contractors and consultants meet stringent health and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and assure contractor and consultant H&S plans and performance
Conduct daily and weekly site inspections, focusing on high-risk activities
Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions
Maintain and monitor risk registers and emergency preparedness protocols
Support onboarding, training, and cultural development around H&S
Evaluate H&S elements in tender submissions and contractor onboardingRequirements:
NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification; project management credentials desirable
Proven experience managing H&S on large-scale construction projects
Strong knowledge of construction operations in logistics or terminal environments
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
