An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental compliance across a dynamic business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is key to driving a safety-first culture and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities of the new Health & Safety Manager
Ensure compliance with H&S legislation and internal standards.
Lead accident and near-miss reporting and investigations.
Maintain H&S records and reporting dashboards.
Deliver training and inductions for safe working practices.
Support environmental strategy and ISO 45001 planning.
Collaborate on site layout, TPM, and audit readiness.Experience required for the role of Health & Safety Manager
IOSH certification (NEBOSH desirable).
3 years experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing.
Strong communication, attention to detail, and audit experience.
Ability to deliver training and manage compliance systems.Initial Focus Areas for the Health & Safety Manager
Establish H&S committee and update COSHH actions.
Review First Aiders/Fire Marshalls and training needs.
Audit site and present a 24-month improvement plan.
Support factory re-layout and revitalise TPM activities.
