School Maintenance Roles in Fulham
Positions Available: Carpenter (Contract/Project-Based) & Handyman/Labourer (2-Year Contract)
Essential Requirements
Enhanced DBS clearance (or ability to obtain before start date) (Applicable when working on school premises at least three times in a 30-day period with children present; standard DBS is insufficient.
Valid CSCS card (or equivalent site safety certification) Right to work in the UK (e.g. UK passport, ILR, Biometric Residence Permit) Full commitment available (especially critical for the Handyman role) Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and flexibility to support general labour tasks Secure 2-year assignment, ideal for continuity in a school maintenance environment Prefer candidates already DBS-checked Inside a well-regarded Fulham school with high safeguarding standards and maintenance initiatives Role Overview Carpenter (Short-Term / Project-Based) Read and interpret technical drawings Workshop and joinery tasks: door fitting, shelving, skirting, paneling Collaborate with site trades, and assist in general labour tasks when required Handyman / Labourer (Fixed-Term – up to 2 Years) General maintenance duties including minor plumbing, painting, repairs to wall/floor finishes Assist tradespeople in larger refurbishment or compliance work Work across carpentry, DIY, fixtures, and general site support Expected to stay on the project for the full durationBefore You Apply
