Job Title: Harvest Supervisor
Salary: £Competitive based on experience
Location: Near Colchester
Integral Staff is working in partnership with a leading farming business to recruit a hands-on and motivated Harvest Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in agricultural operations who is ready to take the next step in team leadership.
Working Hours:
*
November – March: Monday to Friday
*
April – October: Monday to Saturday
(Hours will flex with the seasons and harvest demand)
Main Responsibilities:
*
Oversee and supervise day-to-day harvesting teams, ensuring smooth operations in the field.
*
Report any issues relating to staffing, crop quality or harvesting quantity directly to the Harvest Manager.
*
Monitor and enforce compliance with company hygiene, dress code, and field operation guidelines.
*
Promote and uphold Health & Safety standards in all field operations, in line with company policy.
*
Carry out regular crop walks to assess the condition, availability, and quality of outdoor crops.
*
Assist the Harvest Manager with daily planning and adjustments as needed.
*
Ensure all record-keeping, including start-up sheets, tractor/rig maintenance, and cleaning logs, are completed and accurate.
*
Maintain high standards of productivity, ensuring yields are kept to or above budget where possible.
Skills and Experience Required:
*
Strong understanding of outdoor wholehead crops and agricultural fieldwork.
*
Prior hands-on harvesting and operational experience across crop types.
*
Proven ability to lead teams of 20–30 people in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
*
Reliable, organised, and capable of keeping detailed operational records.
*
Multilingual skills are desirable but not essential.
