Join a Family-Run Gastro Pub Group at an Exciting New Opening MCG Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a small, family-owned group of pubs and inns to find a talented Head Chef for their brand-new pub opening in the New Year.
This is a rare opportunity for a creative and passionate chef to lead a kitchen from day one, with full autonomy to create menus, drive innovation, and inspire a talented team.
What We’re Looking For We’re seeking someone who is:
A creative chef with a passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients
Experienced as a Head Chef or Senior Sous, with a proven track record in a similar kitchen
A natural leader who can motivate and develop a strong team
Dedicated to delivering imaginative, high-quality dishes for every guest
Organised, reliable, and able to perform under pressure Previous experience in a busy, high-quality kitchen is essential, as we’re looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and passion for culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and cooking
Lead, mentor, and manage kitchen staff to ensure effective teamwork and development
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
Collaborate with management to develop seasonal and trend-led menus
Monitor inventory, order supplies, and ensure smooth kitchen operations
Ensure every dish meets the highest standards of quality and presentation
