Head Cook
Offering 40 hours per week, including alternate weekends, at an hourly rate of £16 - £16.50 depending on experience.
We are looking for an experienced Head Cook to join this hardworking catering team in Swaffham.
As Head Cook, you'll be passionate about providing our residents with the best quality food, tailored to their tastes.Ideally with experience in managing and developing a quality catering service for approximately 70 residents, guests, and visitors. If you have a passion for cooking, strong leadership abilities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities of the Head Cook:
* Prepare and cook daily meals, home baked products will be made in house and available for residents and visitors to the home.
* Ensure the attractive presentation of all meals.
* The Head Cook should supervise and direct the work of other kitchen staff, providing instruction and demonstrations.
* Maintain good working relationships with all colleagues, residents, and visitors.
* Assist in ordering of supplies and keeping stock secure, storing appropriately and avoiding unnecessary wastage and deterioration of foodstuffs.
* Operate a safe, professional, and cost-effective catering service whilst always complying with all statutory and budget requirements.
* Work in accordance with our food standards, allowing for allergen issues, dietary requirements, ensuring full adherence to recipes.
