Head Dental Nurse (Maternity Cover) - Morden
Contract: Maternity cover until July 2026
Location: Morden
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (with 1-2 Saturdays per month desirable but not essential)
Salary: £15-£17 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Dental Nurse to provide maternity leave cover at our well-established dental practice in Morden. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role within a supportive, patient-focused team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, support, and mentor the nursing team
Ensure the highest standards of cross-infection control and compliance are maintained
Oversee stock control and the organisation of surgery equipment and materials
Support clinicians in delivering excellent standards of patient care
Coordinate with the practice management team to ensure smooth daily operations
Maintain accurate records in line with CQC and GDC requirements
About You
We are looking for someone who is not only clinically skilled but also confident in leading and inspiring a team. The ideal candidate will be:
A GDC-registered Dental Nurse
Experienced in a senior or head nurse role
Organised, efficient, and reliable with strong attention to detail
Knowledgeable in compliance, infection control, and CQC requirements
A positive team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
