Job Description

Head of Agent Oversight Location: Hybrid – Swindon or London Salary: £85,000 to £90,000 + Bonus Edenred PayTech is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Agent Oversight to lead the governance and control of outsourced Agent activities across our UK operations. This is a pivotal leadership role, ensuring our Agents operate with integrity, resilience, and full regulatory compliance across customer onboarding, interaction, financial operations, and risk management. You’ll be responsible for building and guiding a dedicated oversight team, collaborating with internal experts, and driving a risk-based, data-informed approach to monitoring and improving Agent performance. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape oversight strategy in a fast-paced, regulated fintech environment. Key Responsibilities * Define the vision and strategy for Agent Oversight, providing leadership and development to the oversight team * Own and execute due diligence testing and ongoing monitoring of Agent activities * Lead monthly Agent Oversight forums, ensuring transparent reporting and actionable outcomes * Maintain oversight of Agent practices, ensuring alignment with current and emerging regulatory requirements * Review and challenge policies, procedures, and tools used by Agents to ensure effectiveness and compliance * Drive continuous improvement through proactive engagement with Agents and internal stakeholders * Capture insights from Agent operations to enhance Edenred PayTech’s controls and risk mitigation * Ensure monthly oversight reporting accurately reflects Agent control environments * Oversee execution of Edenred PayTech controls by Agents, identifying and addressing gaps * Conduct monthly sampling and qualitative analysis, reporting findings to governance committees * Collaborate with operational teams to resolve identified issues and improve control frameworks * Develop performance metrics and identify outliers for targeted action * Coordinate annual Agent self-assessments and ensure risk reporting is robust and actionable * Conduct on-site Agent visits to validate controls and build relationships * Provide meaningful MI to Executive Committee and Board Key Relationships External: Agents Regulatory and competent authorities Internal: Edenred Business Units / EPS Service Managers Financial Crime Hub (1LoD) Compliance, Risk Management, Audit Skills & Experience Essential: * Minimum 5 years’ experience in a regulated payments or financial services organisation * Strong understanding of AML, fraud, compliance, risk, and security regulations * Proven experience in financial crime risk and control environments * Track record of implementing and managing control frameworks * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * Experience leading teams and developing talent * Ability to analyse complex problems and deliver practical solutions * Familiarity with FCA rules and regulatory expectations * Experience identifying control weaknesses and driving remediation * Relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS, AML, audit) are advantageous Behavioural: * Champion of compliance and operational excellence * Inspirational leader with a transformation mindset * Committed to ownership, engagement, and continuous improvement * Service-oriented with a strong risk awareness * Demonstrates integrity, transparency, and professionalism Why Edenred PayTech?
