The Role:
As Head of Apprenticeships and Funding, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring all apprenticeship programs meet the highest Education Inspection Framework (EIF) standards. You will lead on internal and external audits, including ESFA, Ofsted, and awarding body inspections, acting as the key contact and Ofsted nominee during inspections.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Building and managing a successful Apprenticeships and Funding department from the ground up.
* Overseeing the delivery of apprenticeship standards from enrolment through to end-point assessment.
* Leading the preparation and submission of successful funding applications, including RoATP and Boot Camps.
* Ensuring compliance with ESFA funding rules, safeguarding, Prevent Duty, and British Values.
* Developing strong partnerships with employers, funding bodies, and awarding organizations.
* Managing accreditation processes and driving continuous quality improvements.
* This role reports directly to the Board of Directors and requires a proactive leader with excellent project management and communication skills.
The Ideal Candidate
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
* A detailed understanding of ESFA and DfE accreditation and audit requirements.
* Proven success in RoATP application processes.
* In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Ofsted EIF frameworks and inspections.
* A valid UK driving license.
* Exceptional influencing, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* A track record of starting up or leading apprenticeship and funding teams in private sector environments.
