Head of Business Studies – Wandsworth
Head of Business Studies - September
Head of Business Studies - Permenant
An ambitious and well-qualified Business Studies teacher is required to lead the Business department at a high-performing secondary school in Wandsworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong classroom practitioner with leadership experience to shape the delivery of Business Studies across KS4 and KS5.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of the Business Studies curriculum across GCSE and A-Level.
*
Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement across the department.
*
Oversee assessment, data tracking and intervention strategies to support pupil progress.
*
Manage departmental resources and support the professional development of teaching staff.
*
Contribute to wider whole-school initiatives and take part in middle leadership responsibilities.
*
Inspire students through engaging, relevant lessons and by modelling subject expertise.
*
Promote enrichment and enterprise activities, including links with local businesses or external speakers.
Requirements:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
*
Experience teaching Business Studies at KS4 and KS5 is essential.
*
Prior leadership experience, such as Head of Department or Subject Lead, is preferred.
*
Strong subject knowledge, curriculum understanding, and the ability to raise standards.
*
Confident in using data to drive progress and inform teaching.
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*
A genuine commitment to the success and wellbeing of all students.
