Job Description

Head of Contracts Management Location: Plough Lane, Hereford, HR4 0LE Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 6+ Months Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week Pay Rate: £ 61.00 per hour Job Ref: OR8063 The role is located in Hereford, requiring on-site presence for a minimum of 2 days per week. This is an initial 6-month interim position with the possibility of extension. The Economy and Environment department aims to consolidate its contracts management approach, intending to incorporate additional major contracts. A crucial aspect of this role involves engaging with key stakeholders to expand the scope of contracts. Responsibilities Lead the consolidation of contracts management strategies within the Economy and Environment department. Engage with key stakeholders to identify and integrate additional contracts into the current framework. Collaborate with the Director of Commercial Services to align contracts management with broader commercial activities across the council. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies in contracts management. Oversee the Contracts Management team and provide guidance to achieve departmental objectives. Person Specification Proven experience in contracts management, preferably within a public sector environment. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work on-site in Hereford at least two days per week.
