Job Description

Apex Resources are looking to recruit for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Conveyancing to lead a residential and commercial property team for our client. This leadership role is ideal for a senior legal professional who excels in managing people and caseloads while driving innovation and strategic growth. About the Role: You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the conveyancing department, managing both team performance and client service delivery. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you’ll also handle complex residential and commercial matters, ensuring the department meets compliance and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Operations * Lead and manage the conveyancing department, including solicitors, paralegals, and support staff * Mentor team members and promote a high-performance culture * Drive operational improvements using data, metrics, and streamlined workflows Conveyancing Expertise * Run your own caseload, covering residential and commercial transactions * Provide advice on a range of matters, including freehold, leasehold, new builds, buy-to-let, and equity transfers * Ensure the department remains fully compliant with CQS, Lexcel, and other quality standards Technology & Innovation * Champion legal technology to optimise processes and enhance client service * Introduce digital tools that reduce manual workloads and improve efficiency Business Development * Maintain and grow existing client relationships * Leverage your professional network to bring in new business * Represent the firm at client meetings, networking events, and industry functions Strategic Involvement * Contribute to the firm’s overall growth and business planning * Monitor and report on team performance and key departmental KPIs Requirements: * Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive with a minimum of 7 years’ PQE * Proven track record in residential and commercial conveyancing * Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a legal team * Commercial awareness and strong business development capabilities * Familiarity with legal software and a passion for digital transformation in the legal sector * Excellent communication and client management skills * Must be authorised to work in the UK and able to reliably commute to Romford or relocate before starting Benefits Include: * Company pension scheme * Employee Assistance Programme * Opportunities for career progression and continued professional development A collaborative, modern working environment If you are interested, please apply and call/WhatsApp Ezekiel on (phone number removed)
