Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The Head of Data will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the company. This role supports key functions across the organisation, including IT, Operations, Finance, and Sales, by collecting, analysing and interpreting data. The individual will provide actionable insights to guide strategic decisions, optimise operations, and enhance organisational effectiveness. Alongside internal use of data, the role will also explore how data and insights can be used to drive value to our customers. The role requires a proactive problem-solver who can turn complex data into clear, meaningful insights that drive innovation, efficiency, and growth at the company.
* Data Analysis and Insights
1. Collect, clean, and process data from various internal and external sources to support decision-making across key departments.
2. Provide actionable recommendations based on data trends to improve organisational efficiency and outcomes.
3. Develop dashboards and visualisations to provide real-time insights into key performance indicators (KPIs).
4. Partner with department leads to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
* Strategic Support
1. Provide data-driven recommendations to support the companys strategic goals, including product development, marketing effectiveness, and sales growth.
2. Collaborate with the Strategy team to identify opportunities for business growth and innovation.
3. Deliver predictive and prescriptive analytics to anticipate trends and optimise decision-making.
4. Analyse customer data to understand behaviour, preferences, and trends, providing actionable insights for targeted marketing campaigns.
5. Evaluate sales performance metrics to identify growth opportunities and optimise sales strategies.
* Operational Efficiency
1. Work closely with Operations to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, offering solutions backed by data.
2. Monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of operational processes and recommend improvements.
3. Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with teams to implement data-driven solutions.
* IT and Systems Integration
1. Partner with IT to ensure data systems and platforms are robust, integrated, and aligned with organisational needs.
2. Support the implementation of data management tools and technologies to streamline data collection and analysis.
3. Support automation initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance operational effectiveness.
* Finance
1. Work closely with the Finance team to track budgets, cost, and profitability (P&L).
2. Monitor financial and operational data to ensure alignment with board milestones and organisational spend targets.
3. Develop models and tools to forecast budget utilisation, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimise resource allocation.
* Sales
1. Work with the Sales team to help identify sales opportunities, gather and track performance and commissions.
2. Develop dashboards to showcase Sales performance.
* Product development
1. Work with customers and stakeholders to identify opportunities to develop and launch data-led products to support the existing product suite.
