An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of English to join a growing independent school in Hampshire. This is a full-time, permanent role starting in Autumn 2025. The school provides education for pupils aged 4–19 and is committed to inclusive, student-centred learning.
About the Role
As Head of English, you will play a key role in leading the department with strategic insight, creativity, and a passion for outstanding teaching. You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, ensuring high achievement for all learners.

Lead the English department with vision and purpose
Inspire pupils of all abilities, including those with SEND
Shape and implement a progressive, inclusive curriculum
Deliver English Language and Literature to GCSE and A-Level

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
