The ideal candidate will be dedicated, enthusiastic, and possess a genuine passion for Drama. They should have the ability to inspire and engage students, as well as be committed to contributing positively to both academic and personal growth. Key Responsibilities * To lead and develop the Drama department * Foster an inclusive environment for all students * Support students with additional needs and encourage students to reach their full potential. * Mentor aspiring performers and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to aid development * Communicate with leadership, parents and external partners * Represent the Drama department at events and build cultural links * Demonstrate creative vision and strong leadership in Arts education * Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.. * Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Drama curriculum. * Participate in extracurricular activities, including Drama clubs and performances, to enhance the overall learning experience. * Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and any concerns. Qualifications and Experience * A degree in Drama or a related field. * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. * Proven experience In Drama at a secondary level. * Strong subject knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the Drama curriculum. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to motivate and inspire students across all ability levels. * Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn new teaching strategies.
