Equitas are working with a Alternative Provision in Broxbourne who are looking for a Head of English Teacher to join their team for September 2025. They support pupils with complex social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them to thrive academically and personally.
About the Role
They are seeking a resilient, enthusiastic, and committed English Teacher to join a skilled team and lead the English curriculum across the provision. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced educator to shape high-quality learning experiences and champion literacy for all students.
As Lead English Teacher, you will:

Develop and deliver a dynamic, inclusive English curriculum tailored to individual needs

Lead subject planning, assessment, and literacy development across the provision
*
Support and mentor colleagues in the effective delivery of English
*
Foster a nurturing classroom environment that promotes engagement, trust, and success
*
Contribute to whole-school improvement and our inclusive, child-centred culture
What They're Looking For:
You will be:

A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with a strong background in English
*
Experienced in working with students with SEMH, SEN, or within an alternative provision (desirable)
*
A reflective practitioner who is solution-focused and child-centred
*
Passionate about equity in education and committed to inclusive practice
*
A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
