About the Organisation
You’ll be joining a specialist EPAO with a strong reputation for integrity, learner-centred service, and sector expertise. Working in partnership with training providers, employers, and industry bodies, the organisation delivers reliable, compliant, and high-quality assessments that help apprentices progress with confidence.
The Role: What You’ll Do
As Head of EPA, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the EPAO continues to thrive in a competitive and regulated market. Your responsibilities will include:
* Setting the vision and long-term growth strategy of the organisation
* Leading and developing high-performing teams across assessment and operations
* Ensuring Ofqual compliance, regulatory readiness, and audit standards are consistently met
* Driving continuous improvement and innovation in assessment design and delivery
* Building strong relationships with employers, training providers, and sector stakeholders
* Overseeing budgets, forecasts, and commercial growth opportunities
* Representing the organisation at industry events, forums, and external networks
About You
* We’re looking for an inspiring and commercially astute leader with:
* Proven senior management or director-level experience (preferably in EPAO, or education & skills)
* Strong understanding of Ofqual/EPA regulations and compliance frameworks
* Excellent people leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
* A track record of driving business performance and sustainable growth
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels
* Strategic vision combined with hands-on operational expertise
